I hope our friends at Style Campaign don’t mind but we must also share this unusual HTML email design… Ok, there are issues with outlook (quelle surprise) but it makes great and very creative use of the notoriously unpopular scrollbar.

Here’s another gem from LA based email marketers, Style Campaign. Image to HTML scripts convert an image, a logo, graphic or even a photo, to HTML code by replacing every pixel with a coloured table cell. The resulting image will pass through spam filters and display on opening the email – the recipient does not need to click ‘download pictures’.

Asked if it was possible to embed video in an email my age-old response was, no. As a rule scripts, the ‘embed’ script included, don’t work in email. But then again, it’s 2010 (nearly) and a quick search on Google revealed a number of ‘video email’ services… So could it now be possible to send video in an email?
