How to: Add a Facebook ‘Like’ Button to Your Page

You don’t need to have Facebook page to make use of the Facebook ‘Like’ button, you can add one to any page of your website, allowing your users to share the content with their friends on Facebook. Here’s how.

  1. Go to http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like
  2. Enter the URL of the page you want to promote
  3. Select how you want the button to appear on your page
  4. Click ‘get code’ then copy and paste it into your web page

Tip: Make the title of your page enticing and descriptive of the content that you want users to share as this will form the link displayed in their friend’s Facebook newsfeed.
